Recently, villagers in buladi village, lumadeng Township, Fugong County, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, received a love donation from Baiju society, a public welfare organization of class 2020-1 of University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) - University of Texas Arlington (UTA) EMBA Program. The total value of donated materials is more than 13000 yuan, including washing bags, induction cooker, rice cooker, quilt for winter and children's educational toys. Buladi village is a provincial-level poverty-stricken village, located in the southwest border of the motherland, west of Myanmar, 3192 people in the village, farmers' income is mainly based on planting. This charity donation is a precise help carried out under the full understanding of local needs and the actual situation of poor families, and the activity has been strongly supported by the Nujiang state committee of the Communist Youth League.
Baiju society is a public welfare organization spontaneously organized by some students of class 2020-1 of USTB-UTA EMBA project during the epidemic period. It has 17 members. Baiju society aims at offering love and serving the society, and takes students' spontaneous public welfare activities as the carrier. Baiju society will continue to carry out a series of activities to accurately connect the class love donation with the needs of vulnerable groups, and transfer the love of USTB-UTA EMBA students to the most needed places. Liu Sha, the founder of Baiju club, said: "Baiju" is taken from Xiaoya Baiju, which means that friendship is hard to give up. Although the study time of USTB-UTA EMBA project is short, Baiju's friendship will last forever. Baiju society hopes that more students, including former and future students of USTB-UTA EMBA program, can join Baiju society and contribute to the love of students from University of Science and Technology Beijing.
