（From Cyberspace to Physical Space—Mining and Integrating Online and Offline Data for Insights）
摘要：The Internet and web have revolutionized the way we interact with each other and the world around us. Despite the increasing value of Cyberspace and the huge amount of data generated by online activities, individual and organizational behaviors in the offline physical world still have significant business and societal implications. This talk will introduce my research on mining and integrating data from both online and offline sources to gain insights into such behaviors. I will cover projects on identifying health outcomes from online health communities, predicting recruiting decisions from social media activities, and managing disruption propagations in supply chain networks.
个人简介：赵慷博士，现任美国爱荷华大学(University of Iowa)商业分析系副教授（终身教职）、Tippie科研学者，数据与网络分析研究组负责人，并兼任信息学副教授。曾担任运筹与管理科学协会（INFORMS）人工智能分会主席、IEEE智能系统杂志（IEEE Intelligent Systems）客座编辑、国际信息系统会议（ICIS）副编辑、美国国家科学基金委（NSF）评委。现任信息科学技术学会会刊（JASIST） 编辑、INFORMS数据科学研讨会（2019）程序委员会主席、30多个国际学术期刊审稿人、以及10余个国际学术会议的程序委员。曾获Tippie青年科研奖（2016）和INFORMS数据科学研讨会最佳论文奖（2017）。
主要研究方向是大数据挖掘、复杂网络分析和基于人工智能的预测模型，尤其注重在社交网络和社交媒体用户画像、个人线上与线下行为的分析、团队合作效能、以及跨公司供应链网络风险管理等方面的应用。已在国际知名期刊发表论文30余篇。科研成果获得了超过25个国家的主流媒体报道，包括BBC、法新社、福布斯、华盛顿邮报、雅虎新闻、今日美国报、纽约公共广播电台、美国新闻与世界报道、麻省理工科技评论、国际财经时报、南华早报、印度时报、西班牙先锋报等
