Degree Type and Program Objectives
This doctoral program trains academic researchers in the corresponding field, building upon the applied professional competencies acquired at the master's level.
Doctoral graduates should master a broad and solid theoretical foundation and systematic, in-depth specialized knowledge in management, economics, behavioral science, and statistics. They should comprehensively grasp the cutting-edge developments in their research area, master modern research methods and techniques of the discipline, and demonstrate a strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. They should possess acute analytical thinking, continuously strengthen their original innovative capacity, keep abreast of academic frontiers, and contribute to theory-building and knowledge creation. They should have keen insight into real-world business administration challenges in contemporary economic and social contexts, be able to distill them into research questions, and advance them through theoretical refinement and innovation. They should develop research acumen and master rigorous research methods and academic norms. They must be proficient in a foreign language, with strong academic writing skills and the ability to engage in international academic exchanges. Graduates are prepared to independently conduct research and teach in their specialized fields.
Program Duration, Study Period, and Credit Requirements
Regularly admitted doctoral students: standard program duration is 4 years, with a flexible study period of 3–6 years and a minimum requirement of 18 credits.
Academic Activities and Seminars
This is a required component for students pursuing academic degrees, graded on a pass/fail basis and awarded 1 credit upon completion. Academic activities include lectures, domestic and international conferences, and graduate forums.
Doctoral students must participate in no fewer than 20 academic activities. In addition, each doctoral student must attend at least one national or international academic conference in their field and deliver an oral presentation in a foreign language at the conference.
Other Required Components
1. All students must complete the MOOC course on thesis writing (non-credit).
2. Social practice and international exchange: students should gain practical social experience during their studies. They are required to have experience in overseas research, international academic exchanges, or participation in international joint training programs.
3. Teaching practicum: doctoral students must complete no fewer than 64 hours of teaching assistant work.
