Information Management and Information System is an undergraduate program which is an interdisciplinary subject, dealing with management science, computer science and system science, with information system and information resource as its two research areas. The program, established by Donlinks School of Economics and Management, teaches fundamental theories and professional knowledge related to information system development and cultivates comprehensive professionals capable of information system development and management.
It’s a 4-year program for undergraduate students. A bachelor's degree in management is bestowed if the student has met the requirements of all kinds of evaluation.
Educational Objectives
The program aims to cultivate high-level professionals with ability and knowledge in areas including management, economics, law and computer science and technology, who are competent to conduct Information Management and Information System development or to be engaged in teaching & research of concerning areas.
Learning Goals
Graduates should meet the following requirements: master fundamental theories and knowledge in management, economics and computer science and technology; grasp basic approaches in Information Management and Information System analysis, design and implementation; possess a great competence in writing, communication and information acquisition; keep informed of the latest development of the field; be capable of analyzing and solving actual problems in enterprises and other organizations concerning information management; be competent to undertake work in information system development.
Learning Outcomes
1. Master the fundamental theories, knowledge and methods and get to know the application prospect of the field.
2. Have the basic competence to develop and manage application system in a systematic perspective.
3. Have the competence to describe and solve problems of administrative decisions through quantitative analysis.
4. Have the basic working ability in management communication, collaboration and implementation.
5. Grasp the basic methods of retrieving documents and materials and have the ability to do initial scientific researches and pragmatic work.

There are 25 academic staffs in all, among which 8 are professors (8 doctoral supervisors), 10 associate professors and 7 lecturers; more than half of them have experience in studying and doing research in world top universities. 1 Elsevier Chinese Most Cited Researchers since 2014.
