题目：The Paradoxical Impact of Time Poverty: How Subjective Age Shapes Growth Motives and Cognitive Flexibility in Creativity

摘要：Extant research has uniformly demonstrated that time poverty is harmful for physical and mental health and interpersonal relationships. Drawing upon scarcity theory and socioemotional selectivity theory, we hypothesize that the interaction between time poverty and subjective age differentially influences employee growth motives, subsequently affecting their creativity. We propose that when employees perceive a lower subjective age, time poverty positively correlates with growth motives, enhancing creativity, on the other hand, time poverty negatively correlates with cognitive flexibility, weakening creativity. Conversely, a higher subjective age in the context of time poverty inversely impacts growth motives and creativity. Our empirical findings support these hypotheses and reveal the perils and benefits of time poverty and the importance of examining subjective age in this unique temporal process.
